Code of Conduct - Rules you should read   02/25/2017

      In General
Be respectful! There's another person on the other end of that conversation! The forums are a place to discuss anything related to Overwolf and beyond but want this to be a place where people feel comfortable to participate and have fun! Keep it on topic, keep it constructive - Threads should be constructive and have a clear topic. Replies to that topic should be relevant. Bumping a thread without adding relevant information is not considered constructive. Bumping a thread from a long time ago is also not constructive (Overwolf updates every 2 weeks, things change). Attacks or Accusations are not acceptable - Attacking another person is unacceptable, the circumstances are irrelevant, just don't do it. Read the topic - Know what people are talking about in the thread. Stick to the given topic and don't derail it. Search - We have a great search function, use it before you post a new thread as it's possible someone has asked your question before and there's info on it. Don't see something about your question or topic after searching? Post it! (keep in mind that bumping threads from a long time ago is not recommended, post your own). Don't post about locked or deleted topics; they were deleted for a reason. No petitions, demands or "When will.." We have places for asking for games, features and we will tell you when something is coming. We don't give dates for a reason. Don't try getting around the swear filter, it's not cute or funny. This is not a place to break NDA's, talk about something illegal or break any law from any country. We will contact the necessary parties involved and you will be pursued to the extent of the law. No spam. You will be banned and your post deleted. Please write in English. This is an international forum and we'd like everyone to be able to participate.
Bad Behavior Insults, racial slurs, profanity, vulgarity. Trolling - You know who you are, and we will find you. Nudity, porn or anything obscene. Flaming - We don't have a trained fireman on staff, so don't do it. No advertising - No one wants to buy that shirt off of you, or that WoW gold. No insulting any religion (fake, real, or imagined), sexual orientation, gender or culture. No talking about drugs or performing illegal activities. Impersonation - Don't do it, people find out and you end up looking stupid.
What will we do if you break a rule? Warnings - You get only one. Thread/Post deletion - We delete your thread/post from the forums. Suspension - Temporary forum ban. Account termination - Permanent forum ban. Legal action or report violations to the appropriate legal authorities.

  1. Hi there, I am very sorry about there being a lack of contact from our side, we do care about our users <3 This is a very interesting setup! May I ask how it all works? Depending on how your setup is running your PC may be sharing processes and Overwolf sees that there is already the process running and will give you this message. Potentially using a program to sandbox Overwolf may work but further details on how your setup is working would be great
  2. Glad to hear it! Have fun in-game!
  3. It would be good to have a list of all the games, I remember when I made the TeamSpeak app that connected to servers and channels based on what game was being played, I had to go down the entire list of supported games: http://www.overwolf.com/supported-games/ and then use getRunningGameInfo() and check it against the list!
  4. Hey there! If you could please send in your logs it will help the team diagnose your problem! A tutorial can be found here for sending your logs to the support team: http://support.overwolf.com/knowledge-base/how-to-sending-logs/ Thanks a lot, Aidan
  5. Hey there! Sorry to hear about the issues you are having with Overwolf! I looked over some old posts and it would be great if you could try the following and see if it fixes your issues. So first off if you could start with a clean install by following the tutorial here for windows 10 to delete your Overwolf files: http://support.overwolf.com/knowledge-base/clean-un-install-of-overwolf-and-re-install/ Then, based on the post below, It seems that downloading the following version of Overwolf here: (Latest version as of 21/07/2016): http://setup.overwolf.com/0.96.218.0/OverwolfSetup.7z (Old post with users experiencing the same issue) And then after installing that version if you follow these steps: Use the Window's search (press the Windows key + R) Enter C:\Program Files (x86)\Overwolf and press enter. Right click on the OverwolfLauncher.exe and create a shortcut to put on your desktop. Go to the Overwolf settings by openening the dock and clicking the spanner icon Click Support Click "Check for updates" and confirm it is the latest version Please give that a go and feel free to contact us if your issue has not been fixed! Aidan.
  6. Hey there, where is the folder with all your music in? Could you provide some screenshots please? Thanks!
  7. I'm in love with this new logo!
  8. I do believe the app "Twitch Keyboard Viewer" on the Overwolf app store (http://store.overwolf.com/app/Twitch-Keyboard-Viewer) is similar to what you are looking for? The only difference is that it will display keyboard presses on your stream but it will also be seen by you. Hope this helps
  9. Hey there! sorry for the wait for a response, Overwolf currently supports Fear 3 in DirectX 9 (all games that are supported are found here: http://www.overwolf.com/supported-games/) To get the game to launch with DirectX 9 please follow the note below. Only supported when rendered with DirectX 9. Game can be set to DirectX 9 by adding "-d3d9" in steam game properties under "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS...". In regards to the other fear games, if you would like to make a request for a game you can first find it here: http://www.overwolf.com/game-request/and then up vote it and the ones with the most votes/ most demand get supported quicker! Hope that helps
  10. The apps for Overwolf are made with HTML, CSS and Javascript but you can also use C/C++ to make plugins, more information here: http://developers.overwolf.com/to help you get started.
  11. Hey, you can download ReplayHUD from the app store - you can set it to launch when a game is opened and it will allow you to press a hotkey to watch the last 20 seconds of game play! Hope that helps
  12. Hey there, when you have a mock up ready you can follow the steps here http://developers.overwolf.com/product/submission-process/to make sure that you have all the required files in the right formats. After that you send a zip file of your app to developers@overwolf.com I hope that helps
  13. lovely jubbly!! Thank you
  14. Thanks a lot for that LAST QUESTION I PROMISE!.... When will the new game events be available and is there a list of all the games and their events because I can't seem to find them on the documentation? Thanks!
  15. Hello again guys! So I am finishing college soon and this challenge looks like a perfect project to work on and so I will 100% be doing this! I keep being pulled away from the community and gaming in general due to college too so once it is out of the way I can use the time for what I love doing! Just a quick question - does the app need to use the game events? or is the only thing that it needs to be is an Overwolf app that uses the Logitech API? Thanks, I am looking forward to this contest Aidan.
