Code of Conduct - Rules you should read   02/25/2017

      In General
Be respectful! There's another person on the other end of that conversation! The forums are a place to discuss anything related to Overwolf and beyond but want this to be a place where people feel comfortable to participate and have fun! Keep it on topic, keep it constructive - Threads should be constructive and have a clear topic. Replies to that topic should be relevant. Bumping a thread without adding relevant information is not considered constructive. Bumping a thread from a long time ago is also not constructive (Overwolf updates every 2 weeks, things change). Attacks or Accusations are not acceptable - Attacking another person is unacceptable, the circumstances are irrelevant, just don't do it. Read the topic - Know what people are talking about in the thread. Stick to the given topic and don't derail it. Search - We have a great search function, use it before you post a new thread as it's possible someone has asked your question before and there's info on it. Don't see something about your question or topic after searching? Post it! (keep in mind that bumping threads from a long time ago is not recommended, post your own). Don't post about locked or deleted topics; they were deleted for a reason. No petitions, demands or "When will.." We have places for asking for games, features and we will tell you when something is coming. We don't give dates for a reason. Don't try getting around the swear filter, it's not cute or funny. This is not a place to break NDA's, talk about something illegal or break any law from any country. We will contact the necessary parties involved and you will be pursued to the extent of the law. No spam. You will be banned and your post deleted. Please write in English. This is an international forum and we'd like everyone to be able to participate.
Bad Behavior Insults, racial slurs, profanity, vulgarity. Trolling - You know who you are, and we will find you. Nudity, porn or anything obscene. Flaming - We don't have a trained fireman on staff, so don't do it. No advertising - No one wants to buy that shirt off of you, or that WoW gold. No insulting any religion (fake, real, or imagined), sexual orientation, gender or culture. No talking about drugs or performing illegal activities. Impersonation - Don't do it, people find out and you end up looking stupid.
What will we do if you break a rule? Warnings - You get only one. Thread/Post deletion - We delete your thread/post from the forums. Suspension - Temporary forum ban. Account termination - Permanent forum ban. Legal action or report violations to the appropriate legal authorities.

  1. Overwolf with Non-Vanilla Minecraft Launchers?

I'm very sorry if I've been leading you on to think that it hasn't worked at all with the vanilla launcher for me. It has always worked fine there, I was just trying to see if there was a way to get it working with the modding launcher I use. If it would be something of interest I can keep posting the logs with each new update, but it's not in any way a priority or necessity for me to have it working for this launcher. I really do appreciate your help with this though.
  2. Overwolf with Non-Vanilla Minecraft Launchers?

No difference I could tell, still forces me to exit out to interact with any Overwolf menu and I can still hear the game's sounds. The desktop only was recorded. I started using fraps and it works fine with this non-vanilla launcher if that helps narrow down anything. If you'd like another log let me know. I'm really not worried about the wait, this is a free program that's constantly updating. I'm sure you all will figure it out eventually after you get more important things done, and plus, my issue isn't even that important. Thanks again!
  3. Overwolf with Non-Vanilla Minecraft Launchers?

New update new log, only changes I see with the 0.90.220 are that I'm able to interact with the menu in the non-vanilla launcher. I click and come out of the game to interact, I can hear the menu come in and out if I mouse over it, etc. The video recorder still doesn't record the game picture, but now records the game sounds. Hope it helps, and thank you for continuing to update this amazing free program! Log.rar
  4. Will Overwolf ever actually work with Minecraft?

Are you using the vanilla launcher?

I'm having an error with a non-vanilla Minecraft launcher not wanting to let me record currently. I don't know anything about LoL but if you aren't using a "vanilla launcher" or changed some settings around I would start there.
  6. Overwolf with Non-Vanilla Minecraft Launchers?

After the new update I noticed a bit of a change. I can interact with the menu now but still forces me to go to desktop to do anything with the pullout menu. Recordings still only record my desktop. I tried it with the normal vanilla Minecraft launcher and was able to interact with the menu and record the game itself just like normal. I attached a new log, hope it helps! Log.rar
  7. Overwolf with Non-Vanilla Minecraft Launchers?

Hey there, hope this is what you were after. Thanks again! Log.rar
  8. I've started using the built in recording software with Overwolf as opposed to using a non-native app outside of Overwolf to record when I play Minecraft. When I use a launcher called http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-tools/1262884-launcher-magic-launcher-1-3-1-mods-options (Magic Launcher) the overlay does not cover the game, and only records my desktop. Is there a way I can fix this, an argument I can enter or something along that line?
  9. Overwolf Not Adding The Forest

After replacing the file it added to my library, I didn't realize it wasn't one of the added games. Thank you for the help!
  10. Overwolf Not Adding The Forest

I'm having issues trying to add the game, The Forest, to my Overwolf games library. I have tried adding several different folders that were associated with Steam manually to see if the game would add, but to no avail. Another Steam game I own, Tera Tech, added without issue on a manual scan. Any help would be greatly appreciated, this isn't a huge issue, more of just a cosmetic annoyance.
  11. Overwolf Not Recognizing Minecraft

Okay, good news! You saying to check the normal vanilla launcher's placement sparked an idea in my head. I looked at the launcher's properties to see where the launcher shortcut I use on my desktop, to answer question #2, originates from. I then found that it was in my C drive>Program Files (x86)>Minecraft. Since the launcher was fully updated and I had all the other steps you asked me to try done, I tried adding the folder located in the Program Files (x86) folder and it finally added Minecraft to the list! Unless you just really wanted to see how wonderful my log file is, the problem is solved. Thank you very much for all the help and patience with a helpless computer noob like me. Best support team I've ever come across for a free app in Beta!
  12. Overwolf Not Recognizing Minecraft

Still doesn't want to recognize the directory if I try scanning for it or manually adding it.
  13. Overwolf Not Recognizing Minecraft

Once I have a chance I will download and report back, thanks for the help so far!
  14. Overwolf Not Recognizing Minecraft

Like I've said, I tried adding both the Minecraft.exe and the .minecraft folder to Overwolf. Neither have been recognized. I don't know of any of other directory or file I could allow Overwolf to attempt to recognize in the overlay.
