Code of Conduct - Rules you should read   02/25/2017

      In General
Be respectful! There's another person on the other end of that conversation! The forums are a place to discuss anything related to Overwolf and beyond but want this to be a place where people feel comfortable to participate and have fun! Keep it on topic, keep it constructive - Threads should be constructive and have a clear topic. Replies to that topic should be relevant. Bumping a thread without adding relevant information is not considered constructive. Bumping a thread from a long time ago is also not constructive (Overwolf updates every 2 weeks, things change). Attacks or Accusations are not acceptable - Attacking another person is unacceptable, the circumstances are irrelevant, just don't do it. Read the topic - Know what people are talking about in the thread. Stick to the given topic and don't derail it. Search - We have a great search function, use it before you post a new thread as it's possible someone has asked your question before and there's info on it. Don't see something about your question or topic after searching? Post it! (keep in mind that bumping threads from a long time ago is not recommended, post your own). Don't post about locked or deleted topics; they were deleted for a reason. No petitions, demands or "When will.." We have places for asking for games, features and we will tell you when something is coming. We don't give dates for a reason. Don't try getting around the swear filter, it's not cute or funny. This is not a place to break NDA's, talk about something illegal or break any law from any country. We will contact the necessary parties involved and you will be pursued to the extent of the law. No spam. You will be banned and your post deleted. Please write in English. This is an international forum and we'd like everyone to be able to participate.
Bad Behavior Insults, racial slurs, profanity, vulgarity. Trolling - You know who you are, and we will find you. Nudity, porn or anything obscene. Flaming - We don't have a trained fireman on staff, so don't do it. No advertising - No one wants to buy that shirt off of you, or that WoW gold. No insulting any religion (fake, real, or imagined), sexual orientation, gender or culture. No talking about drugs or performing illegal activities. Impersonation - Don't do it, people find out and you end up looking stupid.
What will we do if you break a rule? Warnings - You get only one. Thread/Post deletion - We delete your thread/post from the forums. Suspension - Temporary forum ban. Account termination - Permanent forum ban. Legal action or report violations to the appropriate legal authorities.

  1. LoLwiz bug...i think

They will definitely bring it back, target was 27th of July, but that didn't seem to have worked out There are a lot of changes with the API, so not sure when it will be back. You can check their shop-entry, I assume they will remove the maintenance image when they are done http://store.overwolf.com/app/LoLwiz
  2. LoLwiz bug...i think

afaik they took the app down for migration to RIOT API v3.
  3. How does the games.events api get its data?

some things are taken from logs, others are mentioned here: You can check out the (JS part of the) code from it when opening Support -> Development tools, checking "show built-in apps" and check out the files in the install directory of the Game Events Provider to get an idea of the internals
  4. Overwolf is Lit!

Wow, a non-support post on here, and then it's even compliments Cool you like it
  5. Banned From League of Legends

As I said, there were false automated bans from RIOT previously, but Im not sure how those were resolved. Overwolf was confirmed to be legit to be used by RIOT multiple times, so if you don't run anything else it has to be a falsy ban. http://www.overwolf.com/blog/overwolf_not_bannable/ @LEOkonami @ChriSKate What was the process for other Players with that problem in the past?
  6. Banned From League of Legends

There were such false cases already and this should be resolvable. Using Overwolf is by official statement not a reason for a ban. @LEOkonami please have a look at this/forward it.
  7. Browse hidden Apps

Which apps for example? If apps get removed from the store they usual have some form of malfunction and get removed until the issue is resolved to prevent users installing the broken version.
  8. Insecure Password Reset Page for Overwolf App.

I think Overwolf does not use https for their websites (which should be changed nowadays). Where does it say it is not secure? Every page that does not use https is considered "insecure" by Chrome for example. @LEOkonami
  9. LoLwiz - League of Legends In Game Summoner Stats

Hey, this is not a choice from Lolwiz but the fact, that the Servers for Taiwan, Phillipines and the other regions not listed are run by Garena and not by RIOT Games. Lolwiz and many other apps that use ingame-data for their services are dependant on the RIOT Games API providing this data, but Garena does not offer such a thing. So it's not possible to get the ingame data neccessary to accumulate and display the statistics. If Garena should decide in the future to offer a public API it will be implemented immediatly into Lolwiz and all other apps that depend on these public APIs for sure.
  10. LOLWIZ Build guides not available (help)

Image is not accessible. Does the problem still occur? Sometimes the 3rd party sites where the data is gathered from is unavailable temporarily.
  11. Add "New" tab to App Store

    Second that
  12. kda bugging

Hey, first of all please give context to your question. What app are you talking about? Second (im assuming you talk about lolwiz!?) did you play any ranked games with that champion?
  13. OVERWOLF causing ping spikes

What apps did you have running / installed? @LEOkonami Please pass the info on
  14. GEM Hook

There is no API for overwolf notifications yet
  15. Overwolf Community Discord

if you think so, but the overwolf dev team is on there and about 100 community devs. If you want to build an open overwolf dev community go for it, sure. If writing an email is too much effort for a developer I don't think I even want to be in the same community though Edit: seems I missed the point that you want it to be not developers only, so sure, discord is better for that then. The title implies it's a carbon copy of the slack community
  16. New voice on killer voices

If just following the structure / naming of the present voicepacks does not work, I guess the voicepacks are not dynamically implemented using that folder but rather through config files / hard coded. As dirty solution you might try to replace a present voicepacks files with your own I guess.
  17. Overlay speech to text for deaf gamers

The Forum unfortunately dissolved into a support pit and there are very few actually active members on here unfortunately. I think it's a great idea. Maybe @BobDev has some ideas for implementation possibilities for this?
  18. GEM Hook

    Pinging @goodbyte for the feedback
  19. Overwolf Community Discord

There is a populated slack team for this already you might want to join instead http://developers.overwolf.com/slack/
  20. Why is Overwolf so bloated?

The extensions bloat was fixed in the latest update only keeping the latest 2 versions of an app
  21. Hey there, am I the only one who doesn't click with the new color-scheme? Originally I thought it was a work in progress, but that doesn't seem to be the case The Forum got a way cleaner look when the Forum-software changed and that is kind of ruined with this (imo) half assed reskin to red. I don't think everything has to be branded right away, the previous color theme was just fine and very balanced. It also doesn't seem that there is any setting available to choose another color-theme, so everyone is forced to live with it as is. To explain my opinion: I get that overwolf's color's are black and red, but with the current color-scheme there are some serious Issues in my eyes (literally) 1) it's not followed through. The Tag things are still blue, also the links and everything that is red just seems totally forced into another pre-set color-scheme instead of part of a coherent design 2) some of the red-tones are just hurtful on brightish monitors 3) The Mod-color (bright green) and the "tacked on" red colors just are a horrible combination. Besides that, the ultra bright green of the mod-name makes it very hard to read on white background. 4) in the remaining products from overwolf (Logo, website) the red is an accenture color, and that is certainly for a good reason. Way too much (bright) red on this forum atm. Suggestion: make the majority of what got styled redish black/grey to make it way easier on the eyes. Currently I don't want to have to spend more then five minutes on the forum since it is just not very pleasent to read stuff with the red distractions shoved into my viewport. Thanks for your time.
  22. Overwolf Overlay UX Enhancements/Issues

valid points and Im with you on the topic that the user onboarding / default settings need some review
  23. Combine Hotkeys

The way you ask for it is not very clear, so it's not easy to tell what you are even asking for in the first place. First you describe the the problem that you have to use multiple Hotkeys, 1 to open the browser and 1 to unlock (interact with) it. Which I gave you the solution for I guess. Then you describe a completely different Problem, that the Browser stays open unless you close it with a button / hotkey? How is the overwolf client supposed to decide when someone is done with the browser? There are people that keep it open and interact with the game at the same time.
  24. Combine Hotkeys

Ah I see what you mean (I think). Just set overwolf to react on hover instead of on the additional hotkey-activation.
  25. Did you test which app causes this specifically? If you go to support -> Development Options You can disable specific apps without having to de-/reinstall them to check which one is causing the issue. Might be helpful for further support.
