Code of Conduct - Rules you should read   02/25/2017

      In General
Be respectful! There's another person on the other end of that conversation! The forums are a place to discuss anything related to Overwolf and beyond but want this to be a place where people feel comfortable to participate and have fun! Keep it on topic, keep it constructive - Threads should be constructive and have a clear topic. Replies to that topic should be relevant. Bumping a thread without adding relevant information is not considered constructive. Bumping a thread from a long time ago is also not constructive (Overwolf updates every 2 weeks, things change). Attacks or Accusations are not acceptable - Attacking another person is unacceptable, the circumstances are irrelevant, just don't do it. Read the topic - Know what people are talking about in the thread. Stick to the given topic and don't derail it. Search - We have a great search function, use it before you post a new thread as it's possible someone has asked your question before and there's info on it. Don't see something about your question or topic after searching? Post it! (keep in mind that bumping threads from a long time ago is not recommended, post your own). Don't post about locked or deleted topics; they were deleted for a reason. No petitions, demands or "When will.." We have places for asking for games, features and we will tell you when something is coming. We don't give dates for a reason. Don't try getting around the swear filter, it's not cute or funny. This is not a place to break NDA's, talk about something illegal or break any law from any country. We will contact the necessary parties involved and you will be pursued to the extent of the law. No spam. You will be banned and your post deleted. Please write in English. This is an international forum and we'd like everyone to be able to participate.
Bad Behavior Insults, racial slurs, profanity, vulgarity. Trolling - You know who you are, and we will find you. Nudity, porn or anything obscene. Flaming - We don't have a trained fireman on staff, so don't do it. No advertising - No one wants to buy that shirt off of you, or that WoW gold. No insulting any religion (fake, real, or imagined), sexual orientation, gender or culture. No talking about drugs or performing illegal activities. Impersonation - Don't do it, people find out and you end up looking stupid.
What will we do if you break a rule? Warnings - You get only one. Thread/Post deletion - We delete your thread/post from the forums. Suspension - Temporary forum ban. Account termination - Permanent forum ban. Legal action or report violations to the appropriate legal authorities.

  1. wtf is that

Hi there! Rest assured, Overwolf is a safe piece of software. Overwolf is not a virus. It has previously been reported that Microsoft falsely reports certain Overwolf files as potentially dangerous software. This is, of course, a mistake. Perhaps something to look into @LEOkonami?
  2. I noticed the same thing myself, but I appreciate your more in-depth look into what is actually happening. I, similar to many other setups, have a small-ish SSD as my system drive (i.e. where %appdata% is) and a larger separate storage HDD. Being in appdata, it takes up unnecessary space from my little space on the SSD. I fully agree with you, this should be looked into.
  3. Just for LOLs

Hehe - those bullies didn't know what was coming for them
  4. Overwolf changes my Video Capture Folder

Same thing happens to me. Defaults to C:\Users\[username]\Videos\Overwolf. I'll do some more testing later. It probably is a bug within Overwolf that the team will have to fix. Thanks for bringing it to their attention
  5. Yes, Overwolf is 100% safe with VAC. You even even check out Steam's own page which confirms this. Rock on, Jonas

I've mostly been the one dealing with spam around here, and only just received my power supply to get my computer back up and running. But it just comes to show how the current way of doing things isn't the best - thanks for the feedback. We currently do have a few anti-bot systems in place and they haven't been very successful. But naturally, we should try to find something that works. And by the way, welcome to the forums! Saw you posting some great suggestions, so keep them coming
  7. What video editor do you suggest

Freemake Video Converter It's by no means a full-fledged video editing suite, but it can cut videos just fine - and quite simple, too. Step by step guide here.
  8. Places to Get Free Games

First of all, welcome (back? I can tell you've been signed up for a while) to the forums! This is a great list - I use Origin On the House all the time. Usually they're actually pretty decent games being handed out. Origin gets so much hate, but I find it to be, in many aspects, better or as good as Steam. In any case, having a serious competitor to Steam is never a bad thing. Absolutely fine, no worries there.
  9. Favorite games?

Hey y'all! I thought I would try to get a conversation going, so here we go. What is your favorite game(s)? Why those? I suppose I'll be the one starting off If I were to choose one, I'd definitely say L.A. Noire. I love the characters, environment and gameplay mechanics - finally a triple A title attempting to do something slightly new. For a few more, I would include Garry's Mod, The Walking Dead and Red Dead Redemption.
  10. Video chat

How about Live Rounds? Has the project been abandoned? That app supported video/voice chat of up to five people. Admittedly, it haven't seem to moved out of closed beta(?). I have a continuous splash screen when trying to open the app.
  11. So long, and thanks for all the gits

Just thinking back, the developer community evolved a whole lot over the last year or so - and that must be partly because of the awesome work you did around here. I can hardly call myself as working alongside you generally, but it's been an awesome thing nevertheless. I, and I'm certain many others, will miss you being around here.
  12. Announcing the NVIDIA App Challenge!

Final hand in at the 14. December
  13. Overwolf Cloud 9 Skin

    Marked as solved.
  14. Oh, didn't the developer version used to be mandatory to access the developer options? Anyway, the documentation seem to say that you need to download the developer version? Removed my previous reply to avoid confusion.
  15. The first addition (more detailed stats) is awesome - I'll definitely use that, now that it's there. I'm kind of meeeh on the second addition, where it can type the stats in the ingame chat. To me it seems borderline spammy, as the other people on the server never really asked to have these stats displayed. Actually, I have a suggestion myself. Something I'd personally love to have is a small country flag (perhaps on top of player avatars?) next to all players. This data can be grabbed from the Steam Community profiles. What I had in mind was something like this: Also, I just checked. It actually already has the country name and flag on the CS-GO site itself, so it should be no worries grabbing the information. If no country is specified, obviously there just shouldn't be any flag next to that profile.
  16. How to view browsing history in browser?

Hello! You can't see a list, but you can search your whole history in the navigation bar in the browser. As you type, it will show sites you've previously been on that contains the text you typed. Like this:
  17. Overwolf Game Requests

Hello! Both games should be supported fine with Overwolf (with the exception of Elder Scrolls Online on Windows XP) - I assume it won't show up in those games for you, though? We should get a look into that, as it's supposed to be in the game fine. You can shoot an e-mail to support@overwolf.com briefly describing the problem.
  18. Premium member

We're thrilled to hear you're enjoying Overwolf! Overwolf is free software and a free service. We have no premium, upgraded or otherwise 'better' versions. In fact, the best way to helping out would probably be to let your mates know about us. The Overwolf client is probably what you've already got installed, that allows you to do a ton of stuff in game. If you are thinking of the Overwolf chat service, that is absolutely free as well. If any more questions arise, feel free to give us a shout! We're here to help
  19. Overwolf not working with BF4

Sorry - here is the correct link!
  20. More frequent, smaller updates seems to be the way to go for me, rather than waiting weeks before releasing new stuff only to have it in one big update. With OWs slick auto update, I see no issue with this from a user-perspective.
  21. You can email it to support@overwolf.com and attach it there - remember to leave a link to this thread and a brief explanation of the issue! Rock on!
  22. Overwolf & TypeFrag

Click on this link and you'll copy the server address: Send the address along to your buddies, and they connect by opening TeamSpeak -> Connections -> Connect, and typing your address into the 'Server Address' field. Rock on!
  23. How to: Sending Logs

When searching, remember to include the percentage character (%) - otherwise the folder won't show up.
  24. Twitch App

This feature has later been added.
