Code of Conduct - Rules you should read   02/25/2017

      In General
Be respectful! There's another person on the other end of that conversation! The forums are a place to discuss anything related to Overwolf and beyond but want this to be a place where people feel comfortable to participate and have fun! Keep it on topic, keep it constructive - Threads should be constructive and have a clear topic. Replies to that topic should be relevant. Bumping a thread without adding relevant information is not considered constructive. Bumping a thread from a long time ago is also not constructive (Overwolf updates every 2 weeks, things change). Attacks or Accusations are not acceptable - Attacking another person is unacceptable, the circumstances are irrelevant, just don't do it. Read the topic - Know what people are talking about in the thread. Stick to the given topic and don't derail it. Search - We have a great search function, use it before you post a new thread as it's possible someone has asked your question before and there's info on it. Don't see something about your question or topic after searching? Post it! (keep in mind that bumping threads from a long time ago is not recommended, post your own). Don't post about locked or deleted topics; they were deleted for a reason. No petitions, demands or "When will.." We have places for asking for games, features and we will tell you when something is coming. We don't give dates for a reason. Don't try getting around the swear filter, it's not cute or funny. This is not a place to break NDA's, talk about something illegal or break any law from any country. We will contact the necessary parties involved and you will be pursued to the extent of the law. No spam. You will be banned and your post deleted. Please write in English. This is an international forum and we'd like everyone to be able to participate.
Bad Behavior Insults, racial slurs, profanity, vulgarity. Trolling - You know who you are, and we will find you. Nudity, porn or anything obscene. Flaming - We don't have a trained fireman on staff, so don't do it. No advertising - No one wants to buy that shirt off of you, or that WoW gold. No insulting any religion (fake, real, or imagined), sexual orientation, gender or culture. No talking about drugs or performing illegal activities. Impersonation - Don't do it, people find out and you end up looking stupid.
What will we do if you break a rule? Warnings - You get only one. Thread/Post deletion - We delete your thread/post from the forums. Suspension - Temporary forum ban. Account termination - Permanent forum ban. Legal action or report violations to the appropriate legal authorities.

  1. App update process

Hi, Thank you for the reply. The email title is "GW2 WVW PPT app update 1.0.0.4" if it helps you to find it faster. I also wrote in the email that the screenshots were not the right ones, and also add the changelog text to the app description so people can see what has changed. All these details are found in the email. Regards.
  2. App update process

Hi, Can you please write here what a dev has to do to get his app updated? I sent an email to developers@overwolf.com on Oct 18th and I didn't receive any reply and the store still shows the old app version. Thank you.

Can overwolf confirm that you have a way to see how many current active installs an app has? Not installations, because you can install and uninstall on an on and the counter will go up and up. I mean can you check if the users have the apps actually installed and active. This way when the user's choice competition ends you can check how many people have each app installed and this will be fair for everyone. If someone installs an app and then removes it this means they don't like it, they just wanted to try it out so it shouldn't count. At least that's my point of view.
  4. Hi, My app is GW2 WvW PPT and I have added all the description and screenshots and even the video in the Submission.txt file, but I see you only included the very small description from the manifest. Could you guys add the one from the Submission file? Or at least add the screens and video. Thank you.

Thank you Raif for featuring my app GW2 WvW PPT. I also posted a tutorial for it at Actually I already sent the youtube link to your email.

Well I only got into this competition when arena.net posted on their blog, which was 17 days ago. So there was no time to develop 20 revisions

Can we get a confirmation when exactly the competition ends? That timer is for local time only. My timer says 1 hour and Docjekyll's says 9 hours.

I emailed the final version. Hopefully you guys review that version and not the first or second one. The zip file is called gw2ppt_3.zip. And now we have to wait for one week for the results. It's the first time I'm been in a programming competition. Exciting!

  10. CORS error [Halting the progress for my app]

Yes you are right gw2 did change something to their servers. When I started working on the app the api url on http kept you on http, but now they redirect you to https. Adding "https://api.guildwars2.com" to the manifest and making sure I always call api urls with https did solve the problem. Thank you.
  11. CORS error [Halting the progress for my app]

A server url always responds with the same headers, it doesn't matter what computer you have or I have. Here's the HTTP response of gw2's api - http://gyazo.com/77828569b872e1d00717a991a88c0454 . So, as you can see the Access-Control-Allow-Origin is * which means that anyone can connect to it. Can anyone get this running on overwolf $.get('http://api.guildwars2.com/v1/wvw/matches.json'); ??
  12. CORS error [Halting the progress for my app]

The http://api.guildwars2.com works fine. Overwolf is the problem.
  13. Hi, As of today, actually one hour ago overwolf started throwing this error all of the sudden. XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://api.guildwars2.com/v1/wvw/matches.json. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'overwolf-extension://bfiigooopjhcjhbbmcbdffpmndinhjjnlgpkagap' is therefore not allowed access. http://gyazo.com/5b8c4f722c6455a05462e90c0b18aab4 My manifest.json does have "externally_connectable": {"matches": ["http://api.guildwars2.com",]} and also if you have a look at the headers of https://api.guildwars2.com/v1/wvw/matches.json you can see that Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *
