Code of Conduct - Rules you should read   02/25/2017

      In General
Be respectful! There's another person on the other end of that conversation! The forums are a place to discuss anything related to Overwolf and beyond but want this to be a place where people feel comfortable to participate and have fun! Keep it on topic, keep it constructive - Threads should be constructive and have a clear topic. Replies to that topic should be relevant. Bumping a thread without adding relevant information is not considered constructive. Bumping a thread from a long time ago is also not constructive (Overwolf updates every 2 weeks, things change). Attacks or Accusations are not acceptable - Attacking another person is unacceptable, the circumstances are irrelevant, just don't do it. Read the topic - Know what people are talking about in the thread. Stick to the given topic and don't derail it. Search - We have a great search function, use it before you post a new thread as it's possible someone has asked your question before and there's info on it. Don't see something about your question or topic after searching? Post it! (keep in mind that bumping threads from a long time ago is not recommended, post your own). Don't post about locked or deleted topics; they were deleted for a reason. No petitions, demands or "When will.." We have places for asking for games, features and we will tell you when something is coming. We don't give dates for a reason. Don't try getting around the swear filter, it's not cute or funny. This is not a place to break NDA's, talk about something illegal or break any law from any country. We will contact the necessary parties involved and you will be pursued to the extent of the law. No spam. You will be banned and your post deleted. Please write in English. This is an international forum and we'd like everyone to be able to participate.
Bad Behavior Insults, racial slurs, profanity, vulgarity. Trolling - You know who you are, and we will find you. Nudity, porn or anything obscene. Flaming - We don't have a trained fireman on staff, so don't do it. No advertising - No one wants to buy that shirt off of you, or that WoW gold. No insulting any religion (fake, real, or imagined), sexual orientation, gender or culture. No talking about drugs or performing illegal activities. Impersonation - Don't do it, people find out and you end up looking stupid.
What will we do if you break a rule? Warnings - You get only one. Thread/Post deletion - We delete your thread/post from the forums. Suspension - Temporary forum ban. Account termination - Permanent forum ban. Legal action or report violations to the appropriate legal authorities.

  1. Overwolf and Messenger

I can't wait for Teamspeak 3 Support That is going to be amazing.
  2. Change Overwolf control hot-keys

    Great guide
  3. okay...

Spam still going on. Check here to find some good anti-spam mods: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=1437125
  4. okay...

I agree, they should crank up the security features built in PHPBB. Most of their names are not the same so they are obviously getting past the captcha which is built in. Turn on RECAPTCHA. Works 100 times better. I thought it was built in PHPBB. After that, i would say, see if there is a Spam mod, i would check if you could possible get Askimet integration in PHPBB. This would be my first guess because Askimet has stopped like a bazzilion spam messages on my blogs in the past. Nothing really gets trough. And this is usually because there is a ReCaptcha form on the comment form as well. IN the post messages NO... that would suck. But people in general are lazy, and that's what bots are for. No one wants to manually register 900 accounts to post spam on manually. So stop them from creating accounts and they will move on to a less secured forum Oh and i would at the very least remove the spam you have now, because these spam links could get you possible banned from google. And that is bad....
  5. How to Enable Stereo Mix

I did not know the original VAC was only a paid version, however check this website: http://alternativeto.net/software/virtual-audio-cable/?profile=windows&platform=windows&license=free see if there are some free alternative programs to the original VAC by Eugene Muzychenko
  6. How to Enable Stereo Mix

I don't think it has anything to do with your headset. It is a Windows related issue. Stereo Mix is there... it always is. It is just not showing up. Also, I have a built-in sound card which works with Realtek audio. So I found a Realtek driver. There is probably a driver for your computer, you just need to find the right one I think this is your best bet: There is a Virtual Cable Software so if I am correct you can simulate what the stereo mix is normally doing. Which is Rerouting the sound you are hearing to a recording option. http://www.niharsworld.com/2008/06/16/use-virtual-audio-cable-vac-to-solve-missing-stereo-mix-problem/ EDIT: Made a base post edit. Most solutions are now in the topic.
  7. How to Enable Stereo Mix

Option 1: Update your Drivers! For Realtek Audio Card: - Vista, Windows7 Driver (32/64bits) Driver only (Executable file) http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false Mirror: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2SV854H7 For Sigmatel Audio Card: Download this driver: http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R171789.exe and install in windows xp sp2 Also check this link for more details http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R171789&SystemID=LATITUDE%20D620&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=8907&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=3&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=3&fileid=235761 For SoundMax Audio Card: Read this and also check the link mentioned in that page. Hope it helps http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4485#p17655 Option 2: Use a VAC! VAC (Virtually Audio Cable) Software basically allows you to do the same thing that Stereo Mix normally does. http://www.niharsworld.com/2008/06/16/use-virtual-audio-cable-vac-to-solve-missing-stereo-mix-problem/ Option 3: Get some Hardware! I would not recommend these but you can Get Audio Splitter (one audio jack on one end and two audio jack inputs at the other end) or buy a double ended audio jack cable ( 3.5mm 2 male pin audio stereo plug). Also, people have been saying that buying an actual sound-card enables stereo mix rather then having an on-board sound card. There, i hope this helped you, it did help me. In case you have a different Audio Card then mentioned above i recommend google for finding a solution or try and see if you can download the latest audio card drivers for your audio card. - Updated (18/03/2011)
  8. APB Reloaded Support

ok well, as to regard of the crashes. I had started up the Beta Client for the first time with overwolf in the bg, and i am not sure what happened but the game just crashed. That's all i saw basically. I played today @ Beta for about 2+ hours without overwolf running and it never crashed so yeah... As regard to the Bad Company 2 crash.. or prefer to say computer crash. It happened when i was in a tank, not neccecarily important but at a certain point i think i pressed a few buttons and i don't remember which ones but i hear this typical windows sound whenever i click anywhere INSIDE THE GAME or outside the game (running windowed mode) I managed to alt tab to some other apps but i could never see them. The game kept itself on top even though i know that that is usually not the case. So restarted, windows pretends like nothing ever happened. I don't know if that was the same day, however i uploaded my full .log file to http://overwolf.blaxus.net/trace.log if you feel the need to check that out. Ehh .. no Long story short, i worked my way into learning php over the years and i am pretty descent at it too. So i know how to think programming wise. But i never really went to desktop programming. I recently got interested in it and i decided to start at the pit of the pool -> C (I am following the advice of that hacker dude in my signature link, I have no relation to hacks in game whatsoever but I just noticed that lots of them know what the hell they are talking about when it comes down to programming.) Aha, I decided to test this out and indeed it crashes. The overlay worked fine until i opened an overwolf window. I updated the error log and uploaded that file in specific. http://overwolf.blaxus.net/trace.log http://overwolf.blaxus.net/APB_03-17-11_00-31-15.Game.html
  9. APB Reloaded Support

I recently got approved in the Closed beta of APB: Reloaded. And I ran the game. Overwolf is not enabled (duh) but according to the logs it was recognized. Here are my logs (from today), Known crash: yes it randomly crashes after a while. For example. APB was created in the Unreal Engine. So if Overwolf was made to work with mostly all Unreal Engine games then the code will be minimal and future games with that engine would also be supported. The reason why I say this is because Overwolf does not work for me in CSS but it does in TF2. I know they might have a bit of modified code but if I am correct then optimizing for the Source engine would fix the problem for all source games yes? And save code in the process. But ... it's just a thought, i am only a beginner in C programming so yeah....
  10. Overlay doesn't work *** Solved ***

I played Bad Company 2 yesterday for 2+ hours. And my latest Beta Installation of Overwolf never showed the overlay in the game. I am unsure if the window itself was hooked to the game or not. So when I get home I will take a look. Just to make sure. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit though I will see if I can replicate the problem, and I will take a look in emailing this file to the Team regularly as well EDIT: My game did not crash (bad company 2), however, the overlay does not work with me. SHIFT + F1 or SHIFT + F2 does nothing, but does not crash however, and when i started the game it did show me the startup overlay menu. You can find my log file here: http://overwolf.blaxus.net/trace.log

No problem, and that's great to hear. Keep the updates coming I will be keeping an eye on the VideoRecording tool. You might see some test videos from me soon
  12. VideoCapture Suggestions

Hey, i love this program and i have some suggestions, as to the recording part of the client. Note: It has been a proven fact by many gamers using Fraps and other game recording software that recording to a drive which is not in use by your Current Operating System or your currently running game can reduce Lag and Frame Drops. Therefor I think option 2 is impeccable and a must if you wish to succeed in your journey to dominate this platform. Features I wish to see added: 1. Option to remove Watermark (Paid version, Donations, VIP, I don't care how you do it, just put an option to remove it somehow) 2. Allow the us to notice that we are currently recording. (change color of the FPS overlay or add a RED dot such as in video cameras so we know that we are actually recording) 3. Option to record to a location of your choosing (preferably to an external HardDrive as well as a local drive) - Do not show the video recorder window when I press the record button, I wish to see my actual game instead of wasting time always having to close that window first. (even when I click the default hotkey CTRL+SHIFT+V to remove that screen it will pop back up as soon as I press the record button) NOTE: I can bypass this because i have 2 screens (multi monitor) and have that window dragged out of my region. But you must assume that most of your users will not and that they cannot move this box out of the screen. I know it is still in beta, which I think is the perfect moment to add what I think I need with this application. Thank you for listening to my banter around the VideoCapture option in the client.
