Hiding steam overlay while streaming with twitch app

Recommended Posts

Hello :)

I can't find the option to hide the steam overlay while streaming. i know it exists for the video recorder but don't know if it is possible for the twitch app.

It should be "game capture" instead of desktop but can't find it.

So is it possible to hide the steam overlay while streaming?

i mean: when i record a video with overwolf, i can choose to record the game only (steam overlay is not captured) or monitor (records everything it sees).

But when it comes to the twitch app, it seems it records the monitor as it shows on the stream my steam overlay.

i would like to keep that part private.

Oh I see now,

Well unfortunately if this feature does not exist in the settings menu of the app, it's not possible to do it.

The Twitch app on Overwolf was developed by a 3rd party developer, I'm sorry to say (especially because I also stream and like using it) but this app is currently not updating with new features, the developer dropped the project a long time ago. We'd love to have someone take over the app who can develop it further and make it greater, just waiting for the right prince/ss :)
