Overwolf version 0.86.89 released!

Recommended Posts

Summer is here, and so is a new version of Overwolf!

This release is a little small, but chock full of background fixes to make Overwolf more stable and set up some surprises for the future (no spoilers today sorry!). So, what do we have this time?

  • Skin sounds - A ways back we introduced skins for Overwolf (including sounds). You can now turn on/off skin sounds or control their volume. Head on into the Overwolf settings and check out the new “Sounds” tab.
  • FPS drop fixes -  We mentioned a while back that we found the reason for FPS drops on Windows 7 when Aero is disabled. We’re happy to let you know that we fixed it! You should no longer see big FPS drops anymore.
  • AMD VCE encoding -  This encoding option has been disabled for now, in both the video recorder and Twitch Streamer. We‘re working on making this encoder more stable, stay tuned.
  • Video Recorder audio sync - We introduced a fix for the bug where your audio was out of sync with your video. No more seeing stuff happen before hearing it!

. . .

As usual, we added some new games to our supported list:

  • Assassin's Creed: Rogue
  • Black Mesa
  • Dungeon Defenders II
  • Final Fantasy XIII-2
  • Gear Up
  • Infinifactory
  • Metin 2
  • Project CARS
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Trine 3
  • Zula

We also worked on greatly improving Overwolfs performance in SMITE, Warface, and Warframe. You’ll notice that Overwolf will work way better in these games, so get ready to play! See you all in game!
