Screen overlay is generally defined as a “Draw on Top” feature of the OS when it comes to the android platform. More specifically, it enables the device to execute user permissions access windows to the mobile user in cases where any given mobile app needs exclusive access to other functions or features of the device to run effectively. Facebook Messenger and LastPass are two of the most common examples where users often get such user access permission windows appear in the result of trigger any special function or feature. 

A team of android app developers Florida based experts explained that although it has been considered as one of the essential components of the android OS where users are actually notified and asked to provide the required access grants to any app or not. Experts also added that there are still a number of security and privacy weakness that you can expect if appropriate and compatible API levels are not used during the development of any given app.
